'Hogan's Heroes' star Cynthia Lynn dies

Cynthia Lynn, who was one of the last surviving cast members of the 1960s hit comedy 'Hogan's Heroes', has passed away at the age of 76.
The actress died on March 10 here after suffering from hepatitis, reported Variety.
Originally named as Zinta Valda Zimilis, Lynn was born in Riga, Latvia. She came to the US with her family after World War II.
Lisa Brando, Lynn's daughter posted on Facebook yesterday about her mother death.
"Just wanted to thank you all so much for all your prayers and support during this difficult time. My mother will be truly missed. All my love to you and all her loving fans," she wrote.
The blonde beauty played Colonel Klink's secretary Fraulein Helga, with the braided hair during the first season of 'Hogan's Heroes', before making appearances later in the series' run.
Other shows on which she appeared included 'Surfside 6', 'Dr Kildare', 'Mission: Impossible', 'The Odd Couple' and The 'Six Million Dollar Man'.
Her last role was reportedly in 1975 on an episode of 'Harry O'.
On the big screen she co-starred with Marlon Brando in 1965's 'Bedtime Story'.
In 2002, Lynn's life was chronicled in the book 'Escape to Freedom: A Biography of Cynthia Lynn', which also talked about the story of her family's journey from Latvia to Germany to the US during and after the World War II.
