Homoeo lab for viral diseases inaugurated

The country's only laboratory to conduct basic research in Homoeopathy for viral diseases was today inaugurated by Union Minister of State for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik.
The lab is being set up at the city's Dr Anjali Chatterjee Regional Research Institute for Homoeopathy.
The virology laboratory, established at a cost of Rs 5 crore, besides conducting basic and fundamental research in Homoeopathy for viral diseases like influenza, Japanese encephalitis, dengue, chickungunya and swine flu, would also develop new drugs and technologies.
According to a senior doctor at the Institute, the drugs would be developed in the virology laboratory to combat emerging challenges of viral diseases.

It may be mentioned that the Institute has undertaken several clinical research studies like autism, psoriasis, vitiligo, breast cancer, hypertension, migraine besides, proving of new drugs in homoeopathy with their clinical validations.
