"The Haryana Cabinet will be expanded on October 29 in the afternoon and two ministers will be inducted," an official spokesman said here tonight.
The vacancies in the Cabinet were created after O P Jain and Gopal Kanda had to resign after their names figured in different criminal cases.
Several names are doing the rounds about who could be accommodated in the Cabinet.
Congress sources said that a decision on the names, mostly CM-loyalists, has been taken.
Haryana Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Sharma's name is also being considered.
The name of Sampat Singh, who had joined the Congress in 2009, and was promised a Cabinet seat after he snapped his three-decade old ties with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), is also doing the round, sources said.
Also in the race is Nuh MLA Aftab Ahmed.
Jindal, who had remained a minister, had to make way to accommodate the Independents who let support and helped Hooda form the government after the Congress was reduced to minority with 40 seats in the 2009 Assembly polls.
