Vishva Hindu Praishad (VHP) chief Pravin Togadia today expressed confidence that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will bring back Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, the key accused of Mumbai 26/11 attacks, from Pakistan.
"We are confident that Modiji will bring back Lakhvi and Dawood (Ibrahim) to India and hang them for their crimes and teach lesson to others," Togadia said to a query on Modi's proposed Pakistan visit next year.
The VHP leader was in city today to attend its state executive meet.
When asked about VHP's stand on BJP President Amit Shah's previous statement on issue of building Ram temple and that BJP requires two-third majority in the Lok Sabha, he said, "You need simple majority for constructing Ram Temple, and BJP enjoys that much of majority now."
On VHP's campaign 'Love Jihad', Togadia said they will start a state-wide drive on the issue in August.
Togadia on the occasion announced to start two programs for farmers.
"Our farmers are crushed under huge debt. Thus, we have decided to launch a programme for farmers where they will be given training on how to do farming without incurring huge expenses," said Togadia.
Another programme will be launched in the state in September where those earning less than Rs 1,000 a month and cannot afford medical facilities, will be given free medical services, he said.
