Hot Air Balloon rides in Goa set to woo tourists again

The Goa Tourism department today announced that its adventure initiative of Hot Air Balloon rides has re-commenced in the state with the advent of the tourism season.
"The initiative was launched during the last tourist season for the first time in the coastal state providing another avenue of adventure tourism for the travellers," Nilesh Cabral, Chairman, Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC) told PTI today.
The hot air balloon rides are provided in South Goa's Assolna village.
"We are very happy to re-start operations of Hot air ballooning services in Goa. Hot air ballooning service was abig hit in Goa last seasonandin the second year promisestoan excitingand mesmerising affairthan before," he added.

Cabral said presently, two hot air balloons are put intooperation for domestic and international travellers.
"We are confident about attracting high-end tourists this season to experience the thrill of touring the state ina hot air balloon in addition to many more newtourism adventure services," he added.
TheHotAirBallooningSafarisare designed by CampingRetreats, a Delhi-based agency, an official statement said.
All the required permissions and safety checks for the balloons are obtained. The entire system meets all the required safety standard and certifications, it added.
