Hot, sultry weather conditions prevail in Punjab, Haryana
Press Trust of India Chandigarh Hot and sultry weather conditions prevailed in Punjab and Haryana today with Mercury hovering several notches above normal at most places.
Hisar was the hottest place at 43.5 degree Celsius, up by 5 notches above normal, MeT department report said.
Among other places in Haryana, Ambala, Bhiwani, Karnal and Narnaul had high of 39, 42.6, 39 and 41.7 degree Celsius respectively.
Union Territory Chandigarh had high of 38.4 degree Celsius, 3 notches above normal.
In Punjab, Amritsar, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded maximum at 41.2, 39.7 and 40 degree Celsius, up by 6 degrees above normal.
MeT department predicted dry weather conditions during next 24 hours in Punjab and Haryana.
