Third season of Kevin Spacey-starrer 'House of Cards' got leaked two weeks before its slated premiere on the digital streaming service Netflix.
It debuted yesterday afternoon, becoming fully available for viewing, but was pulled minutes later, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Netflix released a statement following the leak, blaming a technical error. "Due to a technical glitch some Frank Underwood fans got a sneak peak. He'll be back on Netflix on Feb 27," it said.
Spacey plays a cunning politician named Frank Underwood. The drama also stars Robin Wright as his scheming wife.
While the episodes of season three were live, it appeared that all the episodes were available for viewing.
Visitors, who were able to load the episodes could watch them in full, even after Netflix pulled them. It was fully removed roughly 20 minutes after the leak.
