The Himachal Pradesh cabinet today decided to increase the honorarium of ASHA workers of the health department from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,250.
This will benefit 7,829 ASHA workers in the state, a release said.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur.
It also decided to open a Government Model ITI at Sansarpur Tarrace in Kangra district along-with creation of requisite staff to manage the institute.
The cabinet also gave its approval in principle to open a Regional Horticulture and Forestry Development and Extension Centre at Thunagand Jhanjehli in Mandi district.
