The Himachal Pradesh State Forest Development Corporation will intensify its activities and increase its turnover to Rs 500 crore per annum in the next three years, Vice Chairman Surat Ram Negi said on Tuesday.
The corporation has set itself a target of earning a profit of Rs 10 crore during the current financial year, he said during a meeting with the corporation's officers in Hamirpur.
The vice chairman said the state-owned entity had earned a net profit of Rs 98 lakh during 2018-19 and efforts were on to increase it this year.
Negi also visited a timber treatment plant at Jhaniaridevi and urged officers to help the corporation increase its revenue.
During the meeting, Divisional Manager Amit Sharma gave details of the activities of the Hamirpur unit to the vice chairman.
