Singh, who presided over the state level Republic Day function in the morning, hosted the traditional "At Home" ceremony at Raj Bhawan and left for Chandigarh on way to Raipur from there.
An impressive guard of honour was accorded to the Governor before her departure while Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh congratulated Singh on successful completion of her tenure and wished her a happy and prosperous life ahead.
He said people of the state would always remember Singh for her impressive personality and kind nature.
Urmila Singh had taken oath as the Governor on January 25, 2010. Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh, who has been given additional Charge of the Governor of Himachal Pradesh would take oath on January 28.
