HP launches new solutions and programme enhancements

Computer maker Hewlett-Packard today announced new solutions and programme enhancements that accelerate growth and expand revenue opportunities for channel partners in Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
The offerings include pre-integrated IT systems, storage solutions and updates to its flagship PartnerOne programme enabling partners to pursue growth markets and win more business in the new era of computing, it said in a release.
To meet enterprise and SMB customer demands, channel partners need new ways to deliver solutions to help modernise infrastructures, tackle growing data and embrace the new style of IT driven by big data, cloud and mobility, it added.

Hexaware collaborates with COMPAREX
* IT services firm Hexaware today said it has entered into an strategic alliance with procurement and license management services firm COMPAREX India.
This strategic partnership will allow Hexaware to utilise COMPAREX's services to expand its territory of business and jointly deliver market-leading technologies for enterprises looking to increase the efficiency and derive maximum business value from technology investments, it said in a release.
COMPAREX can leverage the technical expertise of Hexaware to strengthen its business across various platforms, it added.
Hexaware's experience in application services and managing hybrid Infrastructure environments brings a perfect understanding of how these pieces can be stitched together to provide ultimate end-user experience, it said.

Asianet to use Cisco services for better broadband experience * Digital TV services firm Asianet today said it has selected networking solutions major Cisco to deploy DOCSIS 3.0 to increases upstream and downstream speeds to Asianet broadband customers.
This will allow Asianet to offer speeds of up to 300 Mbps per subscriber.
DOCSIS 3.0 will help Asianet achieve ultra-high speeds and will help enable the multi-service operator (MSO) to deliver more content over existing networks, Asianet said in a release.

Facebook Talks to go to important constituencies * Season 2 of Facebook Talks will soon see the popular event travel to important constituencies to understand the issues that voters hold dear.
Madhu Trehan of of Newslaundry.Com will take this travelling show to Amritsar (Apr 11), Varanasi (Apr 18) and Vadodara (April 23) and hold citizen townhalls, according to a blog post by the social networking site.
Facebook groups will be created for Amritsar, Varanasi and Vadodara where local Facebook community can post short video entries for selection for being on the citizen panel for the townhalls.
