HPTDC announces monsoon discount to attract tourists

With summer tourist season cut short by early rains, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation today announced monsoon discount for accommodation in all its hotels from July 1 to September 13, 2013 to attract visitors.
The discount, however, would not be applicable on three days from August 9 to 11, Managing Director, HPTDC, Subhashis Panda said.
The discount would be 35 to 40 per cent in Shimla and Dalhousie-Chamba, complex, 30 to 35 per cent in Chail complex, 35 per cent in Barog, Parwanoo and Rampur complex and 30 to 40 per cent in Mandi- Kullu-Manali and Dharamsala-Palampur complexes.
However, no discount will be available on dormitory accommodation and Hotel Iravati and Hotel Champak in Chamba during Minjar Fair from July 28 to August 5.
