The godown located at Saraswati Soni Marg was raided following a tip-off and 433 gunnysacks of rice and 135 of wheat were found stacked inside it, City Magistrate Harak Singh Rawat said today.
The godown has been sealed and its owner arrested, he said.
The godown owner is being interrogated to ascertain how the huge quantity of foodgrains meant for PDS found their way into the godown, the official said, adding, the complicity of retailers under the PDS cannot be ruled out.
