Officials said a Gurdaspur (Punjab) resident, identified as Kulwinder Singh, was apprehended by Central Industrial Security Force after he suspiciously returned from the boarding gate of an aircraft leaving for Frankfurt saying he has just been informed that his father was not well back home.
"On inquiry, it came to notice that Kulwinder was travelling with his brother Gurvinder Singh who was having a boarding pass for a flight to Bangkok but Kulwinder handed over his passport and boarding pass of Frankfurt to his brother who by the time had left for Frankfurt on the same flight," a CISF spokesperson said.
Kulwinder has been handed over to Delhi Police which later arrested him for further probe, the spokesperson said.
"It appears to be a case of trafficking and the police will probe the case in detail," the official said.
