Humid conditions trouble Punjab, Haryana

Maximum temperatures hovered around normal levels in Punjab and Haryana today with humid conditions prevailing across the two neighbouring states.
The Union Territory of Chandigarh saw a maximum of 34.5 degrees Celsius, up by a notch above normal, MeT officials said.
In Punjab, Ludhiana registered a high of 34.5 degrees after rainfall of 4mm. The mercury settled at 34 and 33.8 degrees in Patiala and Amritsar, respectively.
Hisar in Haryana recorded a maximum of 37 degrees, which was marginally higher Bhiwani at 35.6. Narnaul, Ambala and Karnal saw the mercury touching highs of 36, 33.2 and 33 degrees, respectively.
The forecast is for light to moderate rainfall or thundershowers at a few places across the two states, the weather office said.
