Menon has already got anticipatory bail in the case, police sources said.
The CID has charged Menon and others with threatening, abusing, criminal intimidation, extortion and wrongful confinement.
The High Court had, in December, pulled up the police for delay in filing the charge sheet against Menon.
According to the complainants Haritha, a nurse, and her husband M A Khadeer, the alleged assault took place at Haritha's flat in Mayur Marg of Begumpet in November 2002. It was the fall-out of a property dispute in which Menon's friend was involved.
The case was subsequently transferred to Central Crime Station (CCS) and later to the CID in 2005.
