A devotee from Hyderabad Saturday made an offering of Rs one crore to Lord Venkateswara at the hill temple at Tirumala.
Manthena Srinivasa Raju requested that the amount be utilised for the temple run Sri Venkateswara Sarva Sreyas Trust, meant for the wellbeing of orphans, destitute and other disadvantaged children.
Raju, after offering prayers at the temple, handed over the donation through a Demand Draft to Y V Subba Reddy, Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams Board that governs the hill shrine, a temple official told PTI.
