Rao explained the Government's proposal to cleanse the Hussain Sagar lake which is highly polluted now. He also informed the Government's idea to develop a separate lake for immersion of idols during festivities, according to a release from his office.
The leaders of different parties assured their support for cleansing the medieval-era lake, it said.
The Chief Minister said his administration would like to act tough with regard to land grabbing in the capital city.
Rao spoke about a proposal to make changes to the alignment of Metro Rail project and asked the parties to give their views in the next meeting, the release added.
