Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan says he isn't competitive in his professional life and is rather inspired by the work of his colleagues like Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
"If there is anyone I am competing with it's myself. It doesn't mean I don't consider Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan as great actors, they are wonderful," Aamir told during an interview.
"Not just them, we have some great actors like Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Hrithik Roshan. I am not a competitive person when I see good work of others I love it."
The 51-year-old superstar gets inspired by the work of his industry peers.
"When I saw 'Sultan', 'Dabangg' I loved it. When I saw 'Munnabhai..', I liked Sanju (Sanjay Dutt). I feel happy when I see my colleagues doing great work, it inspires me. When I see work of Ranveer or Ranbir I feel inspired."
The "Dhoom 3" star rather thinks he should keep improving himself as an actor.
"I don't find myself competing with anyone. I am trying to compete with myself. I think competing is a strange word. I am trying to better myself. As a creative person, as an artist I am trying to improve myself. I am trying to do better as a creative person and not from business point of view," he says.
At a time when demonetisation affected quite a few movies like "Rock On 2", "Force 2" and others, it did not affect "Dangal".
But Aamir feels that the move to scrap high value currency notes did affect the movie in smaller towns.
"Demonetisation has definitely affected the film in smaller towns. We can't say there is no effect of demonetisation. But I am overwhelmed with the response for the film. It feels good to see the love and warmth for the people."
Nitesh Tiwari-helmed "Dangal" has reportedly earned over Rs 350 crore at the box office.
"I am not interested in numbers. As an actor the films that I have seen, I don't even know about their numbers like 'Pyasa', 'Teesri Manzil', 'Mother India', 'Mughal-E-Azam', 'Do Aankhen Bara Haath', I don't know the collection of these films. I am not interested in numbers," says Aamir.
