Joint Wireless Advisor Ram Jee Singh Kushvaha, working in DoT's Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) wing, told Special CBI Judge O P Saini that no one ever complained that he ever favoured TTSL.
"During my tenure in WPC wing as joint wireless advisor from May 31, 2007 to July 26, 2008, I performed my duties diligently and honestly. I did not favour any telecom operator and treated all operators alike.
"I did not favour TTSL in any manner. To my knowledge, no one has ever complained against me for favouring TTSL," he told the court.
Deposing as a prosecution witness, Kushvaha added his personal assistant was called by the CBI to record her statement about some applications of TTSL, which had gone missing, but she had not discussed anything about it with him.
"I was interrogated about the loss of TTSL applications. I do not remember if the investigating officer had recorded about this or not. I do not remember to have seen any communication from TTSL addressed to WPC wing, pointing out the loss of their applications.
"I did not see any note or file generated in the WPC wing in this regard. I do not remember to have seen any police complaint by the WPC in this regard," he said.
Kushvaha, whose recording of statement remained inconclusive and would continue tomorrow, deposed that he was confronted with former Telecom Minister A Raja, key accused in the case, when he was in the CBI custody on February 4 last year. (More)
