The 23-year-old actress who plays the female lead, Katniss Everdeen, in 'The Hunger Games', admires her alter-ego's characteristics, reported E!Online.
"I don't think you make the decision to be a role model, I definitely didn't. It's something that just happens when you're in the spotlight and you have all these people looking at you and listening to what you're saying, so you have to decide what do I want the younger generation to hear," Lawrence said.
"I think Katniss is a great role model, she's strong and she's not afraid to say what's right even when it is scary," she added.
