Hathaway, 32, stars in the new film 'Song One', which has been co-produced by Shulman, reported People magazine.
"At first, I was curious how it would go. People always say don't work with your spouse," the actress said at the film's premiere.
"But I loved working with him. He's really good at this, and he's a wonderful producer. And I feel like I actually learned a lot from him in the process," she added.
Hathaway and Shulman, 33, tied the knot in 2012 after dating for four years.
