Air Commodore Sanjai Chauhan, who died last Tuesday in a Jaguar fighter jet crash, was today cremated in Jamnagar.
Before the cremation, Indian Air Force officials paid their respects by laying a wreath on his mortal remains. Those who laid the wreath included Deputy Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal R Nambiar and Air Officer Commanding in Chief, SWAC, Air Marshal R K Dhir, said a defence release here.
Chauhan, a recipient of Vayu Sena Medal and the Air Officer Commanding of Jamnagar Air Force Station, died on June 5 when his aircraft crashed in a field in Bareja village of Kutch district after it took off from the Jamnagar air base.
