According to Jeff Sneider, Ice Cube is being eyed to lend his voice to a key character in the animated superhero adaptation, reported Ace Showbiz.
The movie is confirmed to have Miles Morales as the webslinger. He is voiced by "Community" alum Donald Glover.
Ice Cube is courted to voice Spidey's father Jefferson Davis, a former NYPD officer with a shady past.
The movie is scheduled for release on December 21, 2018. Bob Persichetti and Peter Ramsey serve as a director while Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the masterminds behind "The Lego Movie", write and co-produce the big-screen project.
