19-year-old Kausalya, who survived the March 13 attack and undergoing treatment in the government hospital here, was taken to the prison where the five arrested in connection with the shocking incident are lodged, for the parade, police said.
They, however, declined to reveal the outcome of the parade.
Three persons had attacked Kausalya and her 22-year-old husband Shankar with sickles in full public view near a bus stand in Udumalpet in neighbouring Tirupur district allegedly at the behest of her father, a caste Hindu who was opposed to their inter-caste marriage.
She had earlier told police that she could identify the assailants though they were not known to her.
The identification parade was held a day after a magistrate court in Palladam recorded Kausalya's witness statement.
As the video footage of the chilling attack went viral triggering an outrage, police arrested five persons, including the girl's mother while her father, Chinnasamy surrendered in court. He is now under police custody for questioning.
