Ikea holds multi-stakeholder workshop to plan Maha store

Global home furnishing retailer Ikea today conducted a multi stakeholder workshop in the city to co-create its Maharashtra strategy.
The workshop was attended by government officials, industry leaders, key opinion leaders, Ikea suppliers, NGOs, Ikea management and potential customers, Ikea said in a statement here.
"These insights will help Ikea to have an effective understanding of the local community and build a plan that best complements the needs and aspirations of a progressive Maharashtra," Juvencio Maeztu, Chief Executive Officer, IKEA India, said.
The agenda pertained to how the company will stimulate the home furnishing market and drive the sustainability agenda in the state.
Ikea recently purchased 23 acres land in Navi Mumbai for its first store in Maharashtra. The store expects to generate 500-700 direct employment opportunities, it said. PTI DSK

Zone Startups launches changemaker index for fintech startups
Zone Startups India in collaboration with ISB and PWC today launched F-20, an index of 20 Change Makers, impacting the fintech ecosystem.
"Through the F20 list, we are recognising the achievements of FinTech's foremost change-makers across the continuum of the ecosystem that includes policy makers, entrepreneurs, corporates and community leaders," Ajay Ramasubramaniam, Director, Zone Startups India said.
As a part of Fintegrate Zone a thought leadership Fintech conclave, Zone Startups India led the initiative of coming up with an inaugural F20 - India FinTechChangeMakers List, along with PwC, Indian School of Business and ResearchFox Consulting.
