"The Government has directed GMCH administrator Sachin Shinde to ensure that all the 13 houses illegally constructed within the premises are shifted out immediately," Health Minister Francis D'Souza told reporters today.
The presence of illegal houses within GMCH complex was pointed out by a probe committee headed by retired Collector N D Agarwal.
D'Souza said the committee had also pointed out that there are major leakages in the water supply to the hospital, the biggest health facility in the State.
The Agarwal report has pointed to lacunae in the affairs of GMCH and these will be fixed, he assured.
