"During checking conducted last night, a pick-up van was intercepted and a country-made pistol, live cartridges and illegal country-made liquor was recovered from the driver of the van," Superintendent of Police, Ghazipur, Somen Verma said today.
Following sustained interrogation of the driver, police raided the residence of Vinod Rai in Fatehullahpur, from where large quantity of illegal liquor and raw material used in making the illegal liquor was recovered.
Six persons have been arrested in this connection, he said.
