458 cartons of illicit liquor were seized in two places in Shamli district during checkinglast evening, SP Vijai Bhushan said.
The police intercepted a vehicle during a checking procedure and seized 330 cartons of liquor. The accused, however escaped from the scene, he said, adding a case has been registered against unidentified persons in this connection.
In second incident, police seized 128 cartons of illicit liquorallegedly smuggled from Haryana at Bidoli check-post in Shamli district last evening.
