The system, described as the first of its kind in the state, was installed by IMFA in order to provide an effective safeguard against environment hazards at mining operation area, a company release said today.
This new technique will help in minimising generation of air borne dust in the mines area and its surrounding villages. Generally the mineral carrying trucks carry large amount of dust and sludge stuck to their wheels while transporting chromite ore from mines, it said.
Kalpana Jena, sarapanch of Kaliapani has expressed her happiness over the unique step taken by IMFA for minimising pollution in the mining area, the release added.
