All Nagaland Private Bus Union and Winger Operators president G Kits, vice presidents Ahoto Achumi and Hovishe Achumi said that the strike has been called as one of its member, Manas Ali, a driver who went missing along with vehicle in Imphal on February 23 was reportedly found dead in Kangpokpi area of Senapati district in Manipur on March 7 morning.
They said the bandh has been called demanding that Manipur government should give compensation to the kin of the deceased driver and prompt investigation of Manipur police into the case.
