India, Cyprus finalise work plan to implement agri MoU in FY18

India and Cyprus today identified areas of work in the agricultural sector to be rolled out in the current fiscal as per the bilateral pact signed already between the two nations.
The work plan was finalised and inked in a meeting between Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh and Cyprus Agriculture Minister Nicos Kouyialis here, an official statement said.
As per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), the two countries have decided to work in joint research projects, conduct training/exchange programmes for scientists and experts working in specific agri-fields.
They have also decided to exchange germplasms and technology, promote private sector participation and hold joint workshops and conferences.

During the meeting, Singh said that New Delhi has laid great focus on furthering relationships with like-minded countries, not only to improve trade and investment prospects but also to share the knowledge earned over the years.
