Pankaj Saran, Indian High Commissioner to Dhaka, met Bangladesh Finance Minister A M A Muhith here and handed over a cheque of USD 50 million.
With this, India has completed the disbursement of USD 150 million (approximately Taka 1176 crore) grant assistance to Bangladesh, the Indian High Commission said in a statement.
Saran also briefed the Minister on the latest status of ongoing projects under the remaining USD 800 million Indian Line of Credit, which India was committed to implementing on a priority basis.
The road shows were organised in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry and the India-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry in which MoUs amounting to almost USD 100 million were signed between companies from both the nations for investment in Bangladesh.
