"We should understand that this is not a summit meeting in which we aim at accomplishing something big. Primarily we will see whether the dialogue process that started between the two countries, that stopped and got derailed, can that be brought back on track," Khurshid told reporters at the UN.
He was responding to a question about India's expectations of the meeting between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif in New York on September 29.
"We have to keep in mind that a lot has happened due to which it was necessary for us to stop (the dialogue process). What Pakistan is doing about our concerns, our expectations and how much can we move forward with trust. The meeting will provide a platform to look at all these," Khurshid said.
"We should not expect solutions to our problems will be arrived at at this meeting. If there is resolve and commitment to arrive at solutions then that will help us move the talks forward." he said.
