Indian Ambassador to Thailand Bhagwant Singh Bishnoi and Deputy Chief of Mission A Ramu offered prayers for the long- life of the 88-year-old king at the Devasthan Temple here.
Pink looks set to become a big trend again, repeating the phenomenon that grabbed Thais in 2007 when the colour was said to be good for the much-revered monarch's health, Nation newspaper said.
Thai citizens donned pink clothes as word spread that the colour has "auspicious power" for their beloved King's health.
On Sunday, the Royal Household Bureau released a statement on the King that said his condition was not stable.
This spurred a huge number of Thais, concerned about his well being to begin praying for their beloved King who will turn 89 on December 5.
