Secretary in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways Vijay Chhibber said here today that the matter was being placed on fast track and agreements would be signed with these countries soon.
Besides helping the people in free movement to and from these countries, it would also give a fillip to bilateral ties and develop trade and tourism, Chhibber said.
Chhibber said the Centre would accord a national highway status to the Vijayawada-Ranchi road, of which Odisha accounted for 400 km. It had asked the Odisha government to submit a detailed project report on the 400 km so that the Centre could look into its maintenance and development.
