Indian boys, girls teams bag a bronze each in Asian Jr Squash

India settled for a bronze each in boys and girls sections at the Asian Junior Squash Team Championship after losing to Malaysia in both the semifinals here today.
Both the boys and girls lost by an identical 1-2 margin against their formidable opponents in the semifinals at Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia courts at Bukit Jalil.
There is no third-place play-ff as both the semifinalist teams get a bronze each.
The Results (semifinals):
Boys: Malaysia beat India 2-1: Mohammad Syafiq Kamal lost to Velavan Senthilkumar 12-14, 8-11, 11-7, 3-11; Ng Eain Yow bt Kush Kumar 11-7, 11-8, 11-4; Darren Chan Ti Lunn bt Sandeep Ramachandran 11-7, 11-9, 11-5.
Girls: Malaysia beat India 2-1: Teh Min Jie bt Akanksha Salunkhe 2-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-4; Rachel Mae Arnold lost to Harshit Kaur Jawanda 12-14, 12-10, 11-8, 4-11, 8-11; Sivasangari Subramaniam bt Adya Advani 11-5, 11-3, 7-11, 11-8.
