Madhesi leader and Sadbhawana Party president Rajendra Mahato was admitted to the ICU at Bir Hospital yesterday after being on fast-unto-death since Tuesday demanding an early announcement of Constituent Assembly poll date.
The Party General Secretary Manish Suman claimed that Mahato was forcefully taken away to the hospital yesterday.
Prasad visited the senior Madhesi leader in hospital and wished Mahato a speed recovery.
Mahato, who is already suffering from high blood pressure and diabetes, has also developed symptoms of jaundice today, according to a hospital source.
Mahato started his hunger strike from Tuesday to press for his 10-point demand, which mainly includes announcement of the election date at the earliest.
