The incident came to light after a passerby spotted the body and informed police in Al Sajja area, Gulf News reported.
Sharjah Police said they were investigating to see whether the man, whose identity was not made public, committed suicide.
The man worked in a factory in Sajjah area.
Officials from the Criminal Investigation Department and forensic experts inspected the scene of the incident.
The body was transferred to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.
