AM, identified only by his initials, was arrested on charges of kidnapping, assaulting and stealing money and mobile phones, a Dubai court was told.
AM, who works as an electrician here, and three other unidentified men forced the two Bangladeshi workers to an isolated place and robbed them on January 25 while posing as a CID official, Emirates 24/7 reported yesterday.
"Two other men joined the 'CID' staff and forcibly pulled us off the road to about 50 metres in the sand. The four men beat us and robbed our wallets and mobiles," one of the victims told investigators.
The Court will reconvene hearing of the case on May 15.
