The CoEP-SENECA Innovative Project Competition is a result of a triparty MOU signed between Seneca College, College of Engineering, Pune (CoEP) and The City of Markham, a media release said.
The MoU was established to foster entrepreneurship and create opportunities for both young Indian and Canadian innovators, it said.
"The competition provides student led start-ups, from both countries, with international exposure in the global markets as well as unique opportunities to pitch their innovative ideas to a panel of industry experts and angel investors," said the release.
Pankaj Badatia, co founder and CEO of BioEmbed (CoEP - India) and Travis Clements-Khan Founder and CEO of Nextgen Labs (Seneca-Canada) were winners of the competition.
