Indo-Pak relations have a huge potential and both countries should make use of geographical locations besides cultural and other commonalities, Indian High Commissioner to Pakistan TCA Raghavan said here tonight.
"I believe the presence of so many Chambers of Commerce from different parts of Pakistan. The presence of so many members of National Assembly and Provincial Assembly shows that India-Pakistan relations have a huge potential in the economic, political and cultural fields," Raghavan told reporters during a Republic Day reception hosted by the Indian High Commission.
He noted it is often said that neighbours cannot be changed.
"And I am hopeful that relationships will continue to improve as we make rapid progress in utilising the benefits of our geographical locations and cultural and other commonalities between our two countries," he said.
The who's who of the Pakistani society were present at the reception. The Pakistan government was represented by Commerce Minister Khurram Dastigir Khan.
