Industrial oils gain on firm demand

Castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial gained further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today following firm demand from soaps and shippers industries.

Linseed oil strengthened owing to good demand from paint and allied industries.

In the edible segment, refined palmolein edged up due to mild demand from retailers.

While, groundnut oil continued to remain steady in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

In the non-edibles segment, castor seeds bold rose by Rs 50 to Rs 4,475 per 100 kg from Thursday's level of Rs 4,425, castor oil commercial moved up by Rs 10 to Rs 925 per 10 kg from Rs 915 and linseed oil went up by Rs 5 to Rs 935 per 10 kg as compared to Rs 930.

Moving to the edible section, refined palmolein edged up by a rupee to Rs 678 per 10 kg, however, groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 870 per 10 kg.
