In his petition, Ramaswamy said his employees R M Palaniappan and E Sarvothaman had been vested with custody of important documents like wills, partition deeds, agreements, court orders and revenue records.
The documents were all kept under lock and the keys kept on the fifth floor of the Rani Seethai Hall building on Anna Salai. However, when he wanted access to the lockers and the documents, the duo refused to hand over the keys, he alleged.
The complaint was forwarded to the Thousand Lights police for action. However, no further action had been taken on the matter, the petitioner said.
When the petition came up today, Justice R.S. Ramanathan adjourned it to March 11.
Ramaswamy submitted that he is the Chairman of Chettinad Group of Companies and in-charge of business and day-to-day affairs of the company.
Palaniapan and his assistant Sarvothaman were employees of South India Corporation, a group of companies owned by the Chettinad group.
