The single bench of Justice R R Prasad granted the interim relief to Dhoot till April 30 and would hear the matter on May 1.
Dhoot, who was in the fray as an Independent in the countermanded Raya Sabha elections last year, moved the high court after a special CBI court issued arrest warrants against him on April 15.
The CBI is probing the horse-trading allegations after Rs 2.15 crore was seized from a car in Ranchi on Rajya Sabha election polling day.
The Election Commission of India had cancelled that elections and held another to elect candidates for the two Rajya Sabha seats. Both Agarwal and Dhoot did not contest the election which was held after the cancellation of the first one.
