Ghosh surrendered before Jhargram additional chief judicial magistrate Aniruddha Saha's court.
An FIR had been lodged last December against the BJP state president under IPC sections 505 (inflammatory speech) and 341 (wrongful restraint) and the Arms Act by one Suman Shaw.
Shaw had claimed in the FIR that Ghosh made inflammatory remarks and threatened him during a party workers' meet at Jhargram in West Midnapore district on December 10.
Apprehending arrest, Ghosh had moved the Calcutta High Court that had granted him anticipatory bail on March 1.
