He asked the Sikh community to tread cautiously lest further harm would be caused to the sanctity of the Sikh institutions.
Accusing Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal of allegedly interfering with the functioning of the Sikh institutions, he said it has resulted in the erosion of their credibility.
On the resolutions passed by the Sarbat Khalsa, Bajwa said this would further damage the institution and impair peace and tranquillity in the State.
It has undermined its autonomy.
SGPC was created after immense struggle and sacrifices, however, the Badal's have ruined it's functioning for their political benefit.
He further said he shares the sentiment of crores of Sikhs today but they must exercise restraint and ensure an independent and non-partisan SGPC that functions according to the Sikh maryada and restores it's credibility.
