The stock which has recently debuted on the bourses soared 8.65 per cent to settle at Rs 1,003.25 on BSE. Intra-day, it surged 11.83 per cent to Rs 1,032.70.
At NSE, shares of the company jumped 8.74 per cent to end at Rs 1,004.10.
As per reports, index provider FTSE is likely to add IndiGo to four of its indices with effect from November 18, 2015.
However, there is no official word on the company's inclusion in the FTSE index.
In just three trading sessions, the stock has gained over 31 per cent over the issue price.
The company commands a market valuation of Rs 36,152.77 crore, making it the biggest domestic carrier by market capitalisation.
