Intermatic unit inks pact with AMTL to enter Indian mkt

US electrical product maker Intermatic Inc today announced its foray into India by forming a strategic alliance with home-grown AMTL to bring its range of products into the country.
The agreement was inked between Grasslin Gmbh, a subsidiary of Intermatic Inc, and Noida-based (Advanced Metering Technology Ltd) AMTL.
As part of the alliance, AMTL will distribute Grasslin's range of electrical switch products such as time switches, light and temperature control solutions across the country.
"India is an important market for us as it is witnessing high growth, given the spurt in manufacturing and industrial activities," Grssslin Gmbh Head of Sales and Marketing Axel Schuler said.

Domestic demand for electrical products is expected to soar due to rising awareness about the supply of quality power and the increasing number of industries and manufacturing facilities in India, he added.
