He said this would help connect the state capital with every gram panchayat, an official release said.
Saying that women could change the shape and fate of the society, state and the country if they were shown suitable path and encouragement, Das said while addressing a divisional level convention organised for women self help groups, that only 9,000 women SHGs were there in 17 of the 50 blocks in the Santhal Pargana region.
Even now 30 of the 68 lakh families were without electricity, Das said adding by 2018 all villages would have electricity, an official release said quoting the CM.
He said SHGs would be encouraged in cottage industries like giving training in JHARCRAFT and their products being purchased by the state government.
The Chief Minister also announced to open Modern Haats in every district in the coming years to give SHGs a market.
